Steven Brooke

Steven Brooke, a graduate of the University of Michigan, was awarded the Rome Prize by the American Academy in Rome and was a Fellow at the Academy in 1991. He received the National Institute Honor Award of the American Institute of Architects and two Graham Foundation Grants for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts. He was appointed a 1997 Fellow of the Albright Institute for Archaeological Research in Jerusalem.

Brooke is the author and photographer of Views of Rome (Rizzoli), which received the 1996 AIA International Book Award, Views of Jerusalem and the Holy Land (Rizzoli); Seaside, The Majesty of Natchez, and Historic Washington, Arkansas (all Pelican); the photographer and co-author of Deco Delights (E.P. Dutton), Miami (Clarkson N. Potter), Vizcaya, (Martori), Savannah Style (Rizzoli), Gardens of Florida (Pelican), Louisana Gardens (Pelican), The Houses of Philip Johnson (Abbeville), and The Houses of Marc Corbiau (Mardaga).

Brooke is a regular contributor to national and international publications on architecture and design, including Architectural Record and Architectural Digest. Steven Brooke Studio's clients include Michael Graves, Robert A. M. Stern, Florence Knoll, The Wolfsonian Foundation, Gwathmey-Seigel, Arquitectonica, The Town of Seaside, The New York Times, The National Building Museum, The Mississippi Commission for Cultural Exchange, Time-Warner, and Conde Nast.
